Rapid Assessment by Cardiac Echo: RACEplus 2026
Dunedin Intensive Care, with Faculty from the Nepean Hospital in Sydney, will be running a basic echocardiography RACEplus course on the 22nd and 23rd of August 2026, in the Hunter Centre.
The course is targeted at critical care and other acute care physicians. A strong focus of the course will be HANDS-ON practice in small groups. The objective is to equip physicians with the skill to perform a focused bedside transthoracic echo to identify common cardiac and haemodynamic disorders.
RACEplus also covers some advanced TTE and critical care US topics, like lung ultrasound.
Registration is limited to 16 participants, to guarantee favourable student:instructor ratios for the hands-on sessions.
